schools

Our very first project as a practice was for Oakleigh State School to upgrade a tired old swimming pool change room. Since that first project we've delivered 23 more projects in Queensland Educational facilities. We were engaged under the Building the Education Revolution - National Schools' Pride program to design and project manage 15 projects concurrently. We applied the same dedication and application to each school as for all our projects and we proudly delivered all the projects within each school's allocated budget. The achievement of this project was to manage the dramatically  varying brief's of each school, produce over 80 working drawings, manage tendering and administering construction contracts, all within a strict timeline and budget. The feedback we received from numerous schools (see below for an example) suggested to us that the schools' really appreciated the effort and  the outcomes.

Oakleigh State School returned to us to develop a masterplan for the whole school site, an exciting project that we completed working with the P&C and the school.  Projects are being undertaken

We recently completed work on the Craiglea State High School Masterplan for the whole school site, and assisted with the development of proposals for a new International standard Indoor Sports Centre for volleyball, and a specifc outdoor landscaping exercise for the integration of year 7 students into the high school.

Mt Samson State School required covered learning space that would also provide shelter for children waiting for pickup after school. Working around an existing prefabricated classroom building we were able to provide a cost effective, yet striking statement at the entrance to the school that enabled the verandah and adjacent grounds to be used in all weather. Working in restrictive time frames we specified insulated roof panels and prefabricated steel frames allowing the onsite work to have as little impact as possible on the school's operation.
